Refund policy

We ask that you request a return within 7 days of receiving your item.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn and unused, with all tags still in place, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return you must contact us by email at shop@boutique38.co.uk. If your return is accepted we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Any approved return must be received by us ideally within 7 days of the date the return was agreed. Any returns not received within 14 days of the date the return was agreed will not be accepted.

We do not cover the costs of returns.

As proof of sending is not proof of receipt we strongly recommend that you use a tracked shipping method for the return as we will be unable to process a refund for any returned items that we do not receive.

Damages and issues
All goods are inspected before despatch. On receipt, please inspect your order and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Where an item is found to have been faulty on despatch to you a refund will be processed in full so long as no attempt to repair or otherwise alter the item has been made.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Any returned items, other than those with a fault, that have been washed, have stains, smell of smoke or perfume or otherwise show signs of use and are consequently diminished in value will not be refunded or will be subject to a deduction in the amount refunded dependent on whether the item is in a resalable condition.


Certain types of items cannot be returned, like such as special orders or personalised items, and jewellery such as earrings for pierced ears. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
